  • When you save – click on File – Download to your computer

Y6 Reading Week – iMovie

How can I prepare, save and share our iMovie?

Prepare your iMovie

  • Choose your theme carefully to suit your book
  • Add your photos and script
  • Check spellings carefully!
  • Credits – first names only

Save

  • Save your iMovie as a video to the camera roll
  • In j2e app, upload (left hand icon in the top right corner)
  • Rename it “name of book: class: initials of group
  • Share with group members in j2e (and with me please)
  • Tag it with the following tags: “bookweek”, “y6”, “imovie”

Blogging

  • Go to bloggy
  • Blog to your own learning blog
  • Include title, author, a brief description of what you did, group members (first names only)

 

Y6 Prezi – colour grades

 

Red Use templates for different layouts, eg mini book, instructions, JIT Use a template in Prezi

Y6 How can I improve my Prezi?

Y3: How do I create and use a picture in RNA?

Can I draw a picture of a toy?  Can I save to my folder? Can I use the picture in j2e?

Draw a picture in Revelation Natural Art

  1. Find program in folder (icons 64 – Revelation Natural Art)
  2. Explore tools confidently
  3. Use file- new, save
  4. Edit-undo(CTRL-Z)
  5. Save in own folder (computer – 3a/b/c – Your name)
  6. Save as a JPEG

Use picture in j2e5

  1. log into j2e
  2. upload a file in j2e (click “upload” button in j2launch)
  3. new j2e5 page
  4. insert picture into j2e5 page
  5. crop picture (drag top and side blue square)
  6. duplicate picture (+)
  7. line up pictures – could use grid and snap to grid at bottom

Challenge

  • Draw another picture or two so that your border is more interesting
  • Use different tools to draw your picture
  • Use the grid and snap tools to line up your pictures better

  2. include your first name and class so you can search for it
  3. ask parents, friends and relatives to read and comment – get as much feedback as possible – especially ways to improve your eBook

Y5 Podcasting: How do I combine music with my speaking?

1 Opening your speaking file

  1. Open Audacity in icons 64
  2. Find your file – studentboard – ICT – Podcasting
  3. Listen to your speaking
  4. Save project  as… into your own folder

2 Selecting backing music

  1. Go to Incompetech – Royalty Free Music
  2. The compose Kevin McCleod has given permission for people to use his music for free as long as they mention his name in their productions.
  3. Search for styles or moods that will suit your theme
  4. Listen to the music
  5. Download your chosen music to your folder

3 Combining the music and speech

  1. In Audacity, Open your music
  2. Select all (CTRL-A) and copy (CTRL-C)
  3. Go back to your speech in Audacity
  4. Make a new track
  5. Paste your music in the new track

** 4 Editing

  1. “Generate silence” at the beginning of your speech so that the music starts first and the speech starts a few seconds later
  2. Fade in the music
  3. Delete any extra music at the end
  4. Fade out the musc
  5. Balance the music and speech so you can hear the music but it is not too loud.
  6. Export the finished project as an mp3 into your folder
