Growth Mindset theory (and common sense!) says that the more you practise, the better you will get as you are making more and stronger connections in your brain, so why not keep a bit of maths ticking over by using Maths Frame online?  Below are instructions on how to access it.

  • If you know the login details, just go to mathsframe.co.uk and log in!
  • If you don’t know the login details: (We cannot publish them here)
    • Log into j2e
    • On the Mathsframe button, click on the “i” for information and you will find the login details
    • Click on the button to take you to Mathsframe and log in

Planet St Mark’s

Well done to all of the children who took part in today’s assembly – Planet St Mark’s – sharing their languages and culture through words, songs, tongue twisters and dance – you were amazing!

Listen out for an announcement about our Planet St Mark’s lunchtime event, where you will be able to come and find out more and learn some words.

Dear Lord
Thank you for the gift of language and of different languages.
Please help us to be aware of other people all over the world and help us toreach out in joy, sorrow, thought and prayer.

Help us to use the words we speak to each other, to encourage and build each other up, to challenge wrong and inspire others.
Amen

Junior Maths Challenge

Pupils at St Mark’s achieved 1 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge.  Over 250 000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze.

The Junior Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and supported by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.  It is aimed at those in Years 7 and 8 so we have done really well to have achieved so highly!
